Slade Torments Three Billion People.

At my work there’s a reception area, and on the wall is a large flat screen showing various videos and shots of promotions/activities etc.

Recently one section has been playing Slade’s ‘Merry Christmas Everybody.’ You know the one I’m sure –

‘So here it is Merry Christmas everybody’s having fun, look to the future…‘ etc. Just be reading this I’ve probably set you off humming it! lol

I joked with the receptionist that she must be going mad, hearing it repeat over and over.

So it was amusing when I read an article on The Register, an IT news site, that reports the song has probably been heard by over three billion people! More than forty percent of the world’s population!

That’s quite a feat!
